- Raising Arizona Kids
"I’ve never met a young actor who performs primarily to win theater awards. They’re more into the fun, the friendship, the focus on song and dance. But I know quite a few who are thrilled when their work is recognized with a nomination or award.
The AriZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence ceremony for the 2009-2010 season will be held Mon, Sept. 20–and recognize achievements within several categories: contracted musicals, contracted plays, non-contracted plays and musicals, youth and original works."
"Five of the nine guest actor/musical nominees worked with Musical Theatre of Anthem."

- Raising Arizona Kids
"I was thrilled to get word from Musical Theatre of Anthem that they’ve been selected as one of five finalists in this year’s “Parents’ Pick” competition in the “theatre group for kids” category."
"Nominations are accepted online from folks registered with Nickelodeon’s “Parents Connection” program, and finalists are then put up for a vote–again with registered users at www.parentsconnect.com."

- National Youth Theatre
"It’s the longest-running show in Broadway history. Not a big, splashy musical like the kind that have mostly dominated for the last few decades. Harvey Schmidt’s The Fantasticks is a charming, intimate musical fable about a boy and a girl, next-door neighbors whose puppy love of youth gets replaced with a taste of the real world, a tale of loss of innocence as our young, callow days of gentle September give way to our older, sadder, but wiser days of winter when we can Try To Remember when life was slow and oh, so mellow.
