The Lyle Kishbaugh Scholarship Fund

Lyle had a passion for the theatre which started in high school and spanned throughout his life.  He was able to pass on this passion to Jessica, his beautiful, giving, and kind daughter.  Lyle had the honor of being one of the founding board members of MTA and performed in several MTA productions, two of which he had the thrill to perform with Jessica, Peter Pan and Our Town.

This scholarship fund was started at MTA in Lyle's name and enables us to provide scholarships for participants who have financial need and might otherwise not be able to participate. Our goal is to be able to provide one Lyle Kishbaugh Scholarship per show during our 10 show season.

Applying For a Scholarship

Scholarship applicants who would like to apply need to fill out the google form on the website page for the specific show they are applying for. If there are no scholarships remaining for a show, the google form will close. Scholarship applications close 2 weeks prior to auditions.

In the application you will be asked to write a brief paragraph about why you would like to be considered for the award, explaining your financial need.

Once the form is completed, you will receive a response within 48 hours, confirming your application and/or requesting further information.

Please note, scholarship recipients and/or their families will be required to perform an additional 5 hours of volunteer work for the production that they receive a scholarship for. Failure to do so will result in a $20 invoice for each hour not completed. If you are signed up for a volunteer spot and do not complete the task, you will be invoiced $20 per hour missed.

1-2 scholarships will be offered for all productions that all youth are cast in. To ensure we are able to support as many families as possible, each person is eligible for one scholarship per season.

If for any reason you don't receive a response, please call us at 623.336.6001 and leave a message.
