Come along and listen to the lullaby of Broadway! 42nd Street celebrates Broadway, Times Square and the magic of show biz with wit, humor and pizzazz. At the height of the Great Depression, aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city from Allentown, PA, and soon lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show. But just before opening night, the leading lady breaks her ankle. Will Peggy be able to step in and become a star? The score is chock-full of Broadway standards, including “You’re Getting To Be A Habit With Me,” “Dames,” “We’re In the Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off to Buffalo” and “Forty-Second Street.”

First time at MTA? We are so happy to have you! Our summer shows run in a summer camp format with all day rehearsals during the times listed, followed by shows for you to come and see! You will receive more detailed information from the Show Coordinator. For all days of the program, please plan to drop off your child for the duration of the time listed for the day. Children will prepare as a group for the audition on the first day, and we will make sure they are comfortable and understand the audition process beforehand. We cast all youth who audition, so if you register for the show, we will determine a perfect role for your child to shine on stage. Thank you for being part of MTA!

TUITION & FEES
The tuition and costume fee for this production is $375 for youth ages 13-18, 10% sibling discount. Sibling discount on 2nd registration will be refunded via PayPal within 24 hours of payment received.
AUDITION INFORMATION
Those auditioning should bring an accompaniment on a mobile device to sing with. You may also sing acapella if needed.
We would like female tappers to wear Tan Heel Tap Shoes. Please order as soon as possible to allow for shipping time.
