Summer Workshops

MTA offers extensive summer workshops for ages 3-adult. Our participants are guaranteed to learn a TON of material in dance, tap, voice, acting, and improv. Performing artists never stop learning and can always benefit from a professional program like ours. The instructors have Broadway, Off-Broadway, World and National Tour experience, and are awarding-winning in their disciplines. MTA only hires the best and we will offer you intense training to prepare all levels.

Ages 3-5 will participate in MTA's Minis Program where they will focus on various aspects of an MTA show: Vocal Technique (projection, annunciation, tone, blending as a group), Dance Skills (coordination, synchronization), Showmanship, and Basic Theater Terminology.

Freckleface Strawberry The Musical (Expanded Version), based on the beloved New York Times best-selling book by celebrated actress, Julianne Moore, is a fun and touching family musical. Specifically created to perform for young audiences, families can step inside of the book's pages with Freckleface and friends as they learn to "love the skin they're in." With the help of her loveable schoolmates, including an amazingly talented ballerina, a cutie jock, a charming ditz and a totally kooky teacher, Freckleface learns that everyone is different – and that's what makes everyone special.

The two siblings return to visit the magic tree house on a dreary, rainy day. They find a book where the sun is shining and the waves are crashing, so they wish to travel to this tropical place. They realize that they are in the eighteenth-century Caribbean, the time of pirates!
