The SpongeBob Musical

The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world!

The SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and features a book by Kyle Jarrow, with original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White Tís, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics are by Jonathan Coulton, with additional music by Tom Kitt. The musical production was conceived by Tina Landau.

Tuition & Fees

The tuition and costume fee for this production is $325 for youth ages 6-19, 10% sibling discount. Sibling discount on 2nd registration will be refunded via PayPal within 24 hours of payment received.

Audition Information

Those auditioning should bring a musical theatre song (or any song they are comfortable with), 16-32 bars or one minute in length. Bring an accompaniment with CD or mobile device to sing with. You may also sing acapella if needed.

Details for the Spongebob Dance Calls

Ages 6-12 will be taught their dance call in person by Lyndsie at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, 2/5. Dismissal time will be 9:30 a.m. from the dance call.

Ages 13+ will receive a QR code to learn the dance call in advance and will review it upon arrival with Noelle and Arianna (Choreography Apprentices) from 9:00-9:30 a.m. on Sunday, 2/5. Lyndsie will get them started at 9:00 a.m. then they will start performing to production staff by 9:30 a.m. and be done with the dance call around 9:45 a.m.
